Don’t miss out on all the fun down at Bristol Anarchist Bookfair on Saturday, it’s gonna be a riot! (not literally of course – Ed)
The event takes place in Hamilton house on the now infamous Stokes Croft. With three floors, 60 stalls and a workshop shedule to put London Bookfair to shame, reading up is the new kicking off in Bristol This Saturday.
Bristol Anarchist Federation will have a stall selling all our publications including those produced by the group including the debut issue of our very own news sheet 1831 and our guide to staying safe on demos.
We will also be facilitating a discussion called “Anarchists against the cuts? – The role of Anarchism in the anti cuts movement” it starts at 3pm in the large room and finishes at 4.30 so please come in if only for a little while. We really feel it is an important discussion to have so we hope you can all make it.
We will start with a brief introduction and possibly a guest speaker but this isn’t a lecture, the open part of the discussion which will last at least an hour, hopes firstly to address concerns people may have about the role of anarchists in the wider anti-cuts movement whether you are an anarchist yourself or of any other political (or non-political) persuasion. We then want to turn our attention to generating and sharing ideas and tactics related to how we as anarchists can work to fight the governments austerity measures.
It looks set to be a great day and with a brilliant after party in the evening what better excuse to visit the most revolting street in the country!
See you on the
barricades, I mean bookshelves!
