Bristol Radical History GroupLocal History Bookfair
Annual event hosted at the Bristol record office. This year features the Radical History Group discussing Eastville’s secret unmarked graves, and hidden workhouse history, and a discussion of Treasure Island and the influence Bristol had on it.

The Tory government tripled fees loading our generation with other £44,000 undergrad debt. The coalition has cut more than £1.38billion from higher education. Teaching staff have had their pay cut by 15% whilst some support staff are still not paid a living wage.Students deonstrating against cuts have been pepper sprayed and illegally detained.

Anarchist Black Cross present an evening of food, drink and entertainment to celebrate what we have, and to write letters to prisoners to show them that they have not been forgotten. £3.50 suggested donation for Dinner & Desert. Mulled wine/cider/juice and gifts on sale, all money goes to prisoner support work.

As we approach solstice we are told that we are in a season of giving – yet some companies still aren’t giving workers a wage.

Join us in the centre of town for music, food, singing, festive hats and anti capitalism. We’re sure that in the spirit of the holiday season the companies involved in exploiting people’s free work via the governments corrupt schemes won’t mind if we use their shop fronts as venues.
